A Helping Hand

It's now that I realize
that in all my pain and sorrow
I never really noticed
the helping hand for me
it was always there
but I never saw it
it would only take one prayer
but I never tried
now my eyes are open
I'm not blind anymore
I see the outstretched hand
and silently weeping I take it
so now I'm lifted up
I see the light of day
how long will it last
I don't know
but for now I'll just savor it
I hope I will remember
there's always a helping hand
it's Christ with all his love
I hope next time I will take it
Christ's helping hand.
